The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure manufacturing reliability. Key duties include monitoring equipment for hazards and performance issuesusing ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000)documenting repairs and preventive maintenance with Enterprise Asset Management softwaretracing problems across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic componentsevaluating new equipment performancesetting up and troubleshooting servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motorscollaborating with maintenance and process groups for machine improvementsmaintaining program backups and documenting equipment parametersusing digital multimeters for troubleshooting Qualifications include at least 2 years of related experience, preferably an associate’s degree in a technical field, and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Proficiency in enterprise asset management and Microsoft Office is required. Skills needed are electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, PLC programming, motor operation, and documentation. The role involves working Friday to Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with training on day shifts before transitioning to evening shifts.
