The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. They analyze equipment functions, identify hazards or issues, and perform repairs using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components. The role involves proficiency in ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500 and 5000), maintaining program backups, and troubleshooting servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors. The technician collaborates with maintenance and technical teams, documents repairs and parameters, and evaluates new equipment under actual operating conditions. They should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and skills in using digital multimeters and Enterprise Asset Management software. Additionally, they must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. The role includes working Friday to Sunday from 6:00am to 6:00pm, with training on day shifts prior to evening shifts.
