Position Overview: The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems. Key Responsibilities Diagnose equipment issues and perform electrical, mechanical, and PLC repairs to ensure production reliability.Use ladder logic programming, primarily on the Allen Bradley platform (RS Logix 500 and 5000), for troubleshooting and backups.Utilize work order systems (EAM) to document repairs and preventive maintenance activities.Trace problems using electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, and evaluate new equipment performance.Set up and troubleshoot servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors (servo, DC, induction).Collaborate with maintenance and process teams on machine improvements and provide PLC support across the plant.Maintain accurate documentation of equipment parameters and set-points, and assist in troubleshooting electrical issues.Work closely with the Custom Equipment Process Group to enhance machinery performance. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.Competence with digital multimeters, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and basic motor operations. Additional Information: The role involves training on day shifts before transitioning to evening shifts, with a schedule of Friday to Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.
