The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, including PLC controls, motors, and sensors. They analyze equipment performance, perform preventative maintenance, and implement system improvements collaboratively with technical teams. Proficiency in ladder logic programming (Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000), use of digital multimeters, and experience with servo controls, variable frequency drives, and troubleshooting electrical systems are essential. The role involves working closely with maintenance staff, documenting repairs, maintaining program backups, and evaluating equipment performance under real conditions. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office is required.
