The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Key duties include observing equipment for hazards or issues, diagnosing problems using electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, and performing repairs or programming changes. The role requires proficiency in ladder logic programming, particularly with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500 and 5000 platforms, and experience with digital multimeters, servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motor troubleshooting. Responsibilities also involve documenting repairs, backing up programs, evaluating new equipment, and collaborating with maintenance and process groups for improvements. The technician must have at least 2 years of related experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
