The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure reliable operation. Key duties include analyzing equipment performance, performing repairs, programming updates, and documenting maintenance activities using Enterprise Asset Management software. Proficiency in ladder logic programming (Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000), basic servo controls, motor troubleshooting, and the use of digital multimeters are essential. Candidate requirements include at least 2 years of related experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field preferred, and ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Strong communication with technical teams, attention to detail in documenting parameters, and collaboration with maintenance and equipment groups are vital. Additional skills include experience with VFDs, troubleshooting various motor types, and familiarity with work order systems and Microsoft Office.
