The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure operational reliability. Key Duties Include Monitoring equipment performance, detecting hazards, and identifying repair needs.Proficiently using ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500 and 5000).Documenting repairs and preventative maintenance using electronic work order systems.Tracing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems, and collaborating with technical staff on performance improvements.Maintaining program backups and evaluating newly installed equipment.Setting up and troubleshooting servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors (servo, DC, induction).Assisting with electrical troubleshooting and providing PLC support across the plant.Documenting equipment parameters and set-points accurately. Qualifications And Skills At least 2 years of relevant experience.Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong troubleshooting skills with digital multimeter use.
