Part-Time Controls Technician

The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems. They analyze equipment performance, identify hazards, and perform repairs, including PLC programming changes, using ladder logic on the Allen Bradley platform with RS Logix 500 and 5000. The role involves documenting repairs via the work order system (EAM), troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic components, and evaluating new equipment under actual conditions. The technician sets up and troubleshoots servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motor operations, working closely with maintenance and the Custom Equipment Process Group for machine improvements. Qualifications include at least 2 years of related experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and proficiency with enterprise asset management software and Microsoft Office. Skills include using digital multimeters, troubleshooting motors, and supporting electrical issues across the plant. The role requires obtaining forklift and aerial platform licenses. Key duties encompass equipment observation, hazard detection, preventive maintenance, program backups, and documentation of equipment parameters.
