About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) providing home care services to patients in their residences.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care such as personal hygiene, including bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals tailored to client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and engage in activities based on individual interests.
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
- Adhere to care plans, complete tasks via EVV app, and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Support patient independence within their abilities and follow all safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, able to read, write, and follow directions.
- Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, stand, and perform necessary tasks.
- Sympathetic attitude towards patient care and respect for patient rights.
