About the role
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services on weekends, providing patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Delivering personal hygiene assistance such as bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to ensure patient safety.
- Providing basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities suited to individual interests.
- Performing light housekeeping duties.
- Maintaining accurate records, reporting changes in patient conditions, and completing tasks via EVV systems.
- Ensuring dependability by punctuality and adhering to the care plan.
- Upholding patient confidentiality, respecting privacy, and notifying concerns such as abuse or neglect.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Physical capability to lift approximately 50 lbs and perform necessary tasks.
- Sympathetic attitude towards patient care.
Additional Details
- Use of basic equipment including blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes.
- Involves direct patient care within diverse home environments.
- Requires travel within designated areas.
- Role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to the care plan, without medication administration.
