About the role
Occupational Therapist Assistant responsible for providing occupational therapy to patients, aiming to restore their full physical abilities.
Responsibilities
- Follow state laws and treatment plans set by supervising OT in home care settings.
- Instruct and assist patients with evidence-based therapies within legal scope.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervisors and physicians.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on therapy procedures.
- Adapt to diverse home environments, ensuring equitable care regardless of patient background.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice.
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.
- Preferred: CPR certification, ability to multitask, work independently, and strong communication and organizational skills.
