About the role
Provide occupational therapy to patients in home care settings to help restore their physical abilities. Follow all state laws governing occupational therapy and adhere to treatment plans set by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Instruct and assist patients, families, and caregivers in evidence-based therapy techniques within legal scope.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to healthcare team members.
- Work effectively in diverse home environments, demonstrating flexibility and cultural competence.
- Manage multiple tasks independently with strong communication, organization, and writing skills.
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the practice state.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation or public transit.
Qualifications
- Preferred: CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
