About the Role

Provide occupational therapy to patients to enhance their physical abilities while following state laws and treatment plans set by a supervising occupational therapist. Work independently in diverse home environments, delivering client-centered care in adherence to legal and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and treatment plans set by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Instruct and assist patients with evidence-based therapy within scope and legal guidelines.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and changes in condition.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on therapy techniques.
• Adapt to diverse home environments regardless of patient background.

Requirements

• Current occupational therapy assistant license in the state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

• CPR certification.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
