About the Role
Provide occupational therapy to patients to enhance their physical abilities while following state laws and treatment plans set by a supervising occupational therapist. Work independently in diverse home environments, delivering client-centered care in adherence to legal and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow state laws and treatment plans set by the supervising occupational therapist.
- Instruct and assist patients with evidence-based therapy within scope and legal guidelines.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and changes in condition.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on therapy techniques.
- Adapt to diverse home environments regardless of patient background.
Requirements
- Current occupational therapy assistant license in the state of practice.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
- CPR certification.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
