Part-Time After School Teacher

About the role

As a Teacher supporting out-of-school-time programs, you will lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers, implement tailored curricula, and create a safe, nurturing environment for children. You will partner with parents, staff, and community contacts to ensure high-quality care and education, while working toward center goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC requirements
  • CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Meet state-specific qualifications
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • Effective communication in English

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of early childhood experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Experience as an approved state trainer (preferred)
