Part-Time After School Teacher

About the Role

Support children and families through implementing curriculum, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and collaborating with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers, modeling behaviors and providing feedback
• Implement curriculum tailored to individual children's needs
• Foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing space for learning and play
• Partner with parents to ensure high-quality care and education
• Support center goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Build positive relationships with families, colleagues, licensing authorities, and community contacts

Qualifications & Skills

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC requirements
• Preferred: 2-3 years early childhood experience, Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, approved state trainer status
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Physical ability to lift at least 40 pounds and engage in active play
• Proficiency in English for communication with children and parents
