Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers, modeling behaviors and providing constructive feedback
- Implement curriculum tailored to each child's needs, creating a safe and nurturing environment for play and learning
- Partner with parents to ensure quality care and education
- Collaborate with center staff and leadership to meet goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
- Build positive relationships with families, colleagues, licensing authorities, community contacts, and partners
Qualifications and Skills
- Outstanding customer service and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
- Preferred: Approved state trainer, 2-3 years early childhood experience, Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications if not already held
- Physical ability to lift at least 40 pounds and engage in indoor/outdoor activities; able to maintain visual and physical contact with children
- Proficiency in English for communication with children and parents
Pay
Compensation ranges from $16.90 to $22.85 hourly.
