Paraeducator - 1:1 Achieve: Special Education (2026-27)

About the role

The Paraeducator (Special Education) position is responsible for providing support to students with special needs in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Support students with health impairments or social/emotional behavior disabilities
• Work with teachers to implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students to help them access learning opportunities
• Participate in the Achieve Program, which focuses on students needing behavioral support

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Driver’s License
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Pass a background check
