About the role

The Paraeducator (Special Education) position is responsible for providing support to students with special education needs within the Everett Public Schools district.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with health impairments or social/emotional behavior disabilities
  • Work individually with students to address their specific needs
  • Implement Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • Experience working with special education students preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of special education principles and practices

Skills

  • Patience and empathy
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
