About the role
The Paraeducator (Special Education) position is responsible for providing support to students with special education needs in a variety of settings within Everett Public Schools. This role also includes supporting students with behavior support needs through the Achieve Program.
Responsibilities
- Support students with special education needs in various classroom settings.
- Provide behavior support to students enrolled in the Achieve Program.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure students receive necessary support.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Basic computer skills.

Salary schedule: 6.5 hours per day, 195 days per year.
