About the role

The Paraeducator position is responsible for providing support to students with health impairments or social/emotional behavior disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in accessing learning opportunities through individualized instruction and behavior intervention plans.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills.

Pay

Salary schedule: 6.5 hours/day, 195 days/year.

Schedule

Flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends, are required.
