Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens Inpatient and OR Coverage

Role Overview: The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma surgery coverage in a Level 1 trauma center. Responsibilities include managing complex trauma cases, performing OR coverage, ICU and hospital rounding, overnight call duties, and post-operative visits. Key Duties Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 20 patients with orthopedic trauma needsSupport ED consultations, post-op care, and hospital roundsParticipate in 24-hour call shifts, including weekendsPerform reductions and washout procedures, requiring ACLS or ATLS certificationPrescriptive authority is required Qualifications & Skills Board certification is negotiableExperience in orthopedic trauma, reductions, and washoutsACLS or ATLS certificationAbility to work independently in a high-acuity setting Additional Details: On-site role with support staff including RN, support for consults and post-op care. The position involves day shifts and 24-hour call coverage on weekends, supporting continuous patient care in a hospital setting.
