Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the Role

This position is for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in trauma surgery, providing inpatient night shift coverage at a Level II Trauma Center. The role focuses on adult patients and involves inpatient care in a hospital setting, supporting trauma services with established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations.
• Make assessments and diagnoses.
• Develop, review, and modify treatment plans.
• Manage a patient census of 20-25 adults on the Trauma Service.
• Collaborate with support staff, including a Trauma NP/PA during day shifts.

No call duties are required.

Requirements

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in trauma care.
• Ability to handle a high-volume inpatient caseload.

Prescriptive authority is not required.
