Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the role

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for inpatient trauma surgery coverage at a Level II Trauma Center. Provide night shift inpatient care without call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform physical exams, make assessments, and manage treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of 20-25 adult patients daily on the Trauma Service.
• Collaborate with one Trauma NP/PA during day shifts.
• Conduct patient evaluations, assessments, and develop treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient trauma coverage during night shifts.
• Work within established protocols to ensure quality trauma care.

Requirements

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in trauma or inpatient care preferred.
• Prescriptive authority is not needed.
