Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a Level 1 Trauma Center with responsibilities spanning inpatient, operating room (OR), and emergency room (ER) settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma surgery coverage with 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM), primarily on Tuesdays and weekends
• Perform rounding, consults, ICU care, ER duties, and operating room procedures
• Support a team of 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and 6 Medical Assistants (MAs)
• Cover patients of all ages using eClinicalWorks EMR
• Provide 2-5 days of trauma surgery and hospital coverage, supplementing the existing team during physician recruitment

Requirements

• ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification
• Prescriptive authority
• Strong clinical and communication abilities
• Experience in trauma care, emergency, and inpatient settings

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Primarily Tuesdays and weekends
• No call duties required
