About the role

Join our team and play a key role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences while supporting the success of our optometric practice. This is a call center/medical office environment, so every day you'll balance professionalism, compassion, and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner and manage phone communications
  • Follow up on missed or cancelled appointments and triage patient needs to schedule appropriately
  • Educate patients on their appointments and insurance eligibility
  • Collect and enter accurate patient demographic data into our electronic health record
  • Support exam staff by recognizing the exam process and recording details accurately
  • Optimize schedules and help the practice run efficiently
  • Maintain a high standard of service and quality care with every patient interaction

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable, self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Proficient with EHR and optometric medical terminology
