About the role

This is a call center/medical office environment where you'll greet patients, manage phone communications, follow up on missed or cancelled appointments, educate patients on their appointments, collect and enter accurate patient data, optimize schedules, and provide high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner and manage phone communications
  • Follow up on missed or cancelled appointments and triage patient needs to schedule appropriately
  • Educate patients on their appointments and insurance eligibility
  • Collect and enter accurate patient demographic data into our electronic health record
  • Optimize schedules and help the practice run efficiently
  • Maintain a high standard of service and quality care with every patient interaction

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable, self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Proficient with EHR and optometric medical terminology
