Operations Assistant NF-01

About the role

This position is located at Java Cafe- Harmony Church, part of Fort Benning Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR).

Responsibilities

• Maintains order and harmony.
• Monitors operations to ensure smooth running of the business operation during evening hours and adherence to established schedules of activities and priorities.
• Serves as a point of contact for customers, providing information concerning services, prices, dress codes, standards of behavior, and special events.
• Assists in controlling unacceptable behavior as necessary, seeking assistance from military police.
• Keeps an operational log while on duty; opens and closes the facility and performs fire and security checks.
• Assumes responsibility for cash during tour of duty, checking "cash collected" checks, and performing check cashing duties.
• Conducts inventory at beginning and end of tour.
• Provides administrative supervision to all employees, checking employees in and out; reports to functional supervisors on employee performance.

Requirements

• Conditions of employment: Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactory completion of an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Qualifications: No experience required. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Education is not a qualification requirement.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
