Operational Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with documentation, such as submitting project reports and maintaining records.
- Facilitating communication between the office and field staff to enhance efficiency and project clarity.
- Serving as a liaison between construction managers and field crews to support task scheduling and timeline management.
Key Tasks and Duties
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on planning and timelines.
- Manage and file important project documents to ensure all stakeholders have access to necessary information.
- Maintain, track, and verify daily quantities. Input quantities into billing format and verifying with Operations Manager.
- Absorb and coordinate with the Operations Manager for various crew schedules.
- Aid in gathering data for change orders.
- Affirm time entries for various crews on a weekly basis.
- Perform quantity takeoffs.
- Assist in phase plans.
- Aid in contacting vendors to obtain pricing.
Education And Certification Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a construction setting is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.
- Proficiency in using basic tools and technology related to construction management, such as project management software and common construction tools.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam preferred.
