Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

About the role

Seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and manage workers' compensation claims.
• Coordinate emergency response plans.
• Monitor workplace hazards such as dust, air quality, and noise.
• Supervise Safety & Sanitation Technicians.
• Deliver OSHA-compliant safety training in partnership with HR.
• Collaborate with production and environmental teams to support EHS initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of safety experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation, and safety management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and investigative skills.
• Proficiency in documentation and recordkeeping.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Must pass background and drug screenings.

• Supervisory experience.
