Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

About the role

This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs and ensuring OSHA compliance in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Manage workers' compensation claims
• Coordinate emergency response plans
• Monitor workplace hazards such as dust, noise, and ergonomics
• Administer PPE programs and ensure proper employee training
• Oversee Safety & Sanitation Technicians
• Collaborate with HR and environmental teams to support overall EHS initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing safety
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to conduct investigations and implement corrective actions
• Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing setting
