About the role

This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance and promote a safety-first culture in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Investigate incidents and manage workers' compensation claims.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans.
  • Monitor workplace hazards such as dust, noise, and ergonomics.
  • Administer PPE programs.
  • Deliver OSHA-compliant safety training in collaboration with HR.
  • Oversee Safety & Sanitation Technicians and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of safety experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes.

Skills

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in investigation, hazard identification, and corrective actions.
  • Computer literacy with documentation and recordkeeping expertise.
  • Ability to work safely around dust, noise, equipment, and varying temperatures.

The role requires passing a background check and drug screening.

The specialist will collaborate with production and environmental teams to support overall EHS initiatives and serve as the safety resource for operational staff.
