Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and manage workers' compensation claims.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
• Monitor workplace hazards such as dust, air quality, noise, and ergonomics.
• Oversee PPE programs and employee training.
• Supervise Safety & Sanitation Technicians and ensure compliance with safety standards during dust management and cleanup activities.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, production leadership, and environmental specialists to support overall EHS initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing or industrial safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions in a manufacturing environment.
