Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to develop and manage workplace safety programs, ensure OSHA compliance, and promote a safety-first culture in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and lead root cause analysis.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes.
• Coordinate emergency response drills.
• Monitor workplace hazards such as dust, air quality, and noise.
• Administer PPE programs.
• Provide OSHA-compliant safety training in collaboration with Human Resources.
• Supervise Safety & Sanitation Technicians.
• Ensure dust management and raw material cleanup meet standards.
• Partner with production and environmental teams to support EHS initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Experience in team leadership.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
