About the role
We are seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to develop and manage workplace safety programs, ensure OSHA compliance, and promote a safety-first culture in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and lead root cause analysis.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes.
- Coordinate emergency response drills.
- Monitor workplace hazards such as dust, air quality, and noise.
- Administer PPE programs.
- Provide OSHA-compliant safety training in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Supervise Safety & Sanitation Technicians.
- Ensure dust management and raw material cleanup meet standards.
- Partner with production and environmental teams to support EHS initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Experience in team leadership.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
