About the role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to develop and manage workplace safety programs in a manufacturing setting. The role involves ensuring OSHA compliance, conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and investigating incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Manage workers’ compensation claims
- Coordinate emergency response drills
- Monitor workplace hazards such as dust and noise
- Administer PPE programs
- Supervise Safety & Sanitation Technicians
- Collaborate with Human Resources on safety training
- Support overall Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Leadership skills
- Excellent communication abilities
