About the role
We are seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Ensure OSHA compliance
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
- Investigate incidents
- Manage workers' compensation
- Coordinate emergency preparedness
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a safety-first culture
- Supervise safety technicians
- Deliver OSHA-compliant training
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial safety
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct investigations, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions
- Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, and moving equipment
- Pass background and drug screenings
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures
- Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct safety audits
- Investigate workplace incidents and manage corrective actions
- Oversee PPE programs and hazard monitoring
- Collaborate on safety training and EHS initiatives
- Lead safety investigations and support safety culture improvement
