Responsible for overseeing clinical care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring quality and compliance in a skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff during shifts to maintain care standards
- Manage emergency responses and monitor clinical care
- Evaluate new admissions and ensure regulatory compliance
- Oversee medication control and staffing resources
- Participate in hiring, staff development, and performance management
- Communicate resident clinical updates and address family concerns
- Conduct unit rounds, investigate issues, and document investigations
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor departmental productivity
Requirements
- Valid NYS RN License
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in long-term care, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
