About the Role

Oversees clinical care, manages nursing staff, and ensures compliance in a skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff during shifts to maintain quality care.
• Monitor productivity and assist in budget preparation.
• Evaluate new admissions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage medication control according to policies.
• Ensure adequate staffing and resources to meet departmental needs.
• Participate in hiring, staff allocation, performance management, and staff development.
• Communicate resident clinical updates and respond to concerns or complaints.
• Perform unit rounds and investigate issues, ensuring proper documentation for investigations.

Requirements

• NYS RN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
