Mercury Marine Assembler I- Plastics- 3rd Shift

About the role

Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to innovation and transforming experiences on the water. This position is within Brunswick, focusing on assembling molded plastic parts using machines.

Responsibilities

• Run machines to perform specific machining processes on molded plastic parts
• Place parts on machine fixtures and secure them using foot pedals or hand controls
• Deburr and gauge parts during machine cycles
• Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines
• Record process control data, read blueprints, use measurement tools, start-up and shut down equipment, and operate tools independently
• Communicate effectively in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses, and drill presses
• Perform tasks requiring fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small, medium, and large parts
• Work in a team environment, follow instructions, prepare container tickets, and perform addition and subtraction of part counts
• Stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Handle routine walking, standing, and bending

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic reading and math skills
• Normal to high manual dexterity skills
• Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges
• Competent after a reasonable predetermined training period based on job complexity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
