Mercury Marine Assembler I- Plastics- 2nd Shift
About the role

Responsibilities
- Production-assembly tasks, following a prescribed routine or obvious assembly methods
- Run machines for specific machining processes on molded plastic parts
- Select programs, change fixtures, and operate machines without programming unless trained and authorized
- Record process control data, read and interpret blueprints, use measurement tools, start and stop equipment, and operate tools independently
- Use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses, and drill presses
- Perform fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small, medium, and large parts
- Operate in a team environment, follow instructions, prepare container tickets, and perform addition and subtraction of part counts
- Work in a non-temperature-controlled area with hot temperatures during summer months, requiring protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection
- Stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform routine walking, standing, and bending
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic reading and math skills
- Normal to high manual dexterity skills
- Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges
- Competent after a reasonable training period based on job complexity
- Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back
- Ability to use chemicals and other hazardous materials safely

Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57 per hour. The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
