Responsibilities

  • Production-assembly, following a prescribed routine or obvious assembly methods
  • Run machines to perform specific machining processes on molded plastic parts
  • Place parts on machine fixtures and secure them using foot pedals or hand controls
  • Debur and/or gauge parts during machine cycles
  • Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines without programming unless properly trained and authorized
  • Record process control data, read and interpret blueprint tolerances, use measurement tools, start-up and shut down equipment, and operate tools independently
  • Perform fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small-medium-large parts
  • Operate tools with full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back
  • Work in a team environment, follow directions, prepare container tickets, and perform addition and subtraction of part counts
  • Multitask and use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses, and drill presses
  • Stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs with assistance when necessary
  • Handle chemicals and other hazardous materials safely
  • Work in a typical manufacturing area with exposure to personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection
  • Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment with hot temperatures during summer months
  • Perform tasks requiring routine walking, standing, and bending

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Normal to high manual dexterity skills
  • Qualified and competent after a reasonable predetermined training period based on job complexity
  • Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges
  • Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back
  • Ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay

The starting pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

Schedule

Typical work schedule for this position includes standing for extended periods, sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance when necessary, and performing tasks requiring routine walking, standing, and bending.
