Mercury Marine Assembler I- Plastics- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
- Run machines to perform specific machining processes on molded plastic parts
- Place parts on machine fixtures and secure them using foot pedals or hand controls
- Debur and gauge parts during machine cycles
- Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines
- Record process control data and read blueprint tolerances
- Use measurement tools and operate tools independently
- Start and shut down equipment
- Perform fine hand manipulations, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small-medium-large parts
- Operate industrial lighting and maintain proper posture
- Work in a team environment and follow instructions
- Handle chemicals and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic reading and math skills
- Normal to high manual dexterity
- Ability to use hand tools and machinery
- Competent after a reasonable training period
- Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back
- Standing for extended periods, moderate lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional chemical exposure

- Basic reading and math skills
- Normal to high manual dexterity
- Ability to use hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges
- Competent after a reasonable training period based on job complexity
- Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back

Skills
Operators must be mechanically inclined, have basic reading and math skills, and be able to use hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges. They should also have the ability to communicate effectively and follow directions.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
