Mercury Marine Assembler I- Plastics- 1st Shift

Responsibilities
- Run machines to perform specific machining processes on molded plastic parts
- Place parts on machine fixtures and secure them using foot pedals or hand controls
- Debur and gauge parts during machine cycles
- Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines
- Record process control data and read blueprint tolerances
- Use measurement tools and operate tools independently
- Work in a team environment, follow instructions, and prepare container tickets
- Perform tasks involving fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small-medium-large parts
- Operate in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various hazards and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and bend
Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic reading and math skills
- Normal to high manual dexterity
- Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges
- Competent after a reasonable predetermined training period based on job complexity
- Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back

Skills
As an assembler, mechanical aptitude, reading, writing, and mathematics skills are essential. Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment is also required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

The schedule for this position is typically a standard workweek, with exposure to a typical manufacturing environment where conditions require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
