Mercury Marine Assembler I- Molding- 1st Shift

About the role

Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to innovation and transformation. This position is within Mercury Marine, a leading manufacturer of marine propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble molded plastic parts following a prescribed routine or obvious assembly methods.
• Operate machines to perform specific machining processes on molded plastic parts.
• Secure parts on machine fixtures using foot pedals or hand controls.
• Debur and gauge parts during machine cycles.
• Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines.
• Record process control data and read blueprint tolerances.
• Use measurement tools and operate tools independently.
• Work in a team environment, follow instructions, and prepare container tickets.
• Perform tasks requiring fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small-medium-large parts.
• Stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment.
• Handle chemicals and other hazardous materials safely.
• Follow ergonomic stretches and use protective equipment like safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
• Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment with potential for hot temperatures during summer months.
• Perform tasks involving routine walking, standing, and bending.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Normal to high manual dexterity skills.
• Qualified and competent after a reasonable predetermined training period based on job complexity.
• Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges.
• Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back.
• Ability to use hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
