Mercury Marine Assembler I- Molding- 1st Shift
About the role
Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to innovation and transformation. This position is within Brunswick, focusing on assembling molded plastic parts using machines. The role involves mechanical tasks, reading blueprints, and operating various tools.
Responsibilities
- Run machines to perform specific machining processes on molded plastic parts
- Place parts on machine fixtures and secure them using foot pedals or hand controls
- Deburr and gauge parts during machine cycles
- Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines
- Record process control data and use measurement tools
- Prepare container tickets and perform addition/subtraction of part counts
- Use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment
- Operate tools independently and maintain full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back
- Handle chemicals and other hazardous materials safely
- Work in a team environment, follow instructions, and multitask
- Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and use PPE
Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic reading and math skills
- Normal to high manual dexterity
- Qualified and competent after a reasonable training period
- Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back
- Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery, and variable gauges
- Knowledge of industrial lighting and ergonomic stretches
- Experience with safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and hearing protection
Qualifications
- Ability to follow demonstrated steps and routines
- Basic understanding of blueprint tolerances and measurement tools
- Ability to operate and start-up/shut-down equipment independently
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance when necessary
- Fine hand manipulation and use of small, medium, and large parts
- Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow direction

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
