About the role

Responsibilities
- Assemble molded plastic parts following a prescribed routine or where method of assembly is obvious.
- Run machines to perform specific machining processes on molded plastic parts.
- Secure parts on machine fixtures using foot pedals or hand controls.
- Debur and gauge parts during machine cycles.
- Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines without programming unless properly trained and authorized.
- Record process control data, read and interpret blueprint tolerances, use measurement tools, start-up and shut down equipment, and operate tools independently.
- Use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses, and drill presses.
- Perform fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small-medium-large parts.
- Operate in a team environment, follow direction, prepare container tickets, and perform addition and subtraction of part counts.
- Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment with hot temperatures during summer months due to machining.
- Exposure to typical manufacturing area hazards such as ergonomic issues, burns, bruises, cuts, heavy lifting, fumes, slippery floors, machine hazards, chemicals, gases, body injuries, and industrial lighting.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Normal to high manual dexterity skills.
- Qualified and competent after a reasonable predetermined training period based on job complexity.
- Standing for extended periods of time, sitting for extended periods of time, moderate lifting up to 50 lbs, and some hand tools requiring ambidextrous use.
- Fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small-medium-large parts.
- Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.57 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
Schedule
Typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
