About the Role
A Senior Mental Health Counselor will support all aspects of clinical programming at a Crisis Stabilization Center, providing direct client care and serving as a clinical resource for staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care through assessment, treatment planning, and individual, family, group, and milieu therapy
- Assist in developing and maintaining standards of practice, quality services, and new programs
- Serve as a clinical resource, offering consultation, education, and mentoring to staff
- Coordinate services with healthcare professionals and educate clients, families, peers, and the community
- Follow individualized performance development plans to maintain clinical competence and support program goals
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related health field
- At least 5 years of clinical experience
- Alaska licenses including Master’s Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist upon hire
