About the role

The position involves performing analyses on biological specimens such as blood and urine to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients. It also includes participating in operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS).
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program.

Skills

  • Experience working in a medical field.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills.
  • Good written and oral communications skills.
  • The ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects.
  • Preferred: Phlebotomy.

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay Range: $32.43 - $48.66 for MT and $25.87-$38.05 per hour for MLT.
  • Schedule: Full Time, Hours/Pay Period 77, Overnight shift 6pm - 5am, Sunday - Saturday working 7 days on followed by 7 days off.
  • Weekend Schedule: Every other Saturday or Sunday based on the 7 day on 7 day off rotation.
