Responsibilities
Preforms analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in one of the following: Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS)
- Or Bachelor’s degree plus Certificate in Medical laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), Medical Technology (MT), as recognized by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) is required. An HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program for MLT.
Skills
- Experience working in a medical field
- Moderate to advanced computer skills
- Possess good written and oral communications skills, the ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects
- Preferred: Phlebotomy
- Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed

- Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The pay range is $32.43 - $48.66 for MT and $26.52-$39.32 per hour for MLT.

- Hours/Pay Period: 64
- Schedule Details: Variable shifts M-F including day/PM shifts. Weekends are covered but there is no routine weekend schedule.
