Medical Assistant - Full Time - Days

About the Role

Provides clinical support by assisting in patient examination and treatment under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining patient flow and documenting medical histories, vital signs, medications, and updating electronic medical records (EMR).
• Preparing patient charts, reviewing test results, and ensuring all necessary medical documentation is complete.
• Refilling and pre-authorizing medications, managing patient samples, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Obtaining medical information from patients, responding to communications, scheduling appointments, and managing work queues in EMR systems.
• Operating diagnostic equipment such as EKG machines, performing phlebotomy, cast removal, and other clinical duties as assigned.
• Ensuring a safe, confidential, and compliant work environment while supporting quality patient care and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• 2-5 years of relevant medical assisting experience in various care settings.
• Proficiency in computer systems including EMR, scheduling, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work respectfully with patients and staff.
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred; BLS certification required.
