Medical Assistant - Full Time - Days

About the Role

Support patient care and clinic operations under physician supervision. Assist with patient examinations and treatments, maintain patient flow, and document medical histories and vital signs. Prepare and review patient charts in EMR, ensuring all diagnostic reports and records are complete.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and assisting with procedures.
• Maintain exam rooms and medical supplies.
• Handle medication refills, pre-authorizations, and manage medication and sample inventories.
• Obtain medical information from patients, return calls, respond to patient portal messages, and manage scheduling and pre-certifications.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
• May act as a Super User for EMR and may need to travel between offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; preferred associate or medical assisting certification.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in EMR and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and clinical skills, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• BLS certification required.
